In February we will be continuing our back to the basics series with the second half of our presentation helping you write better functions.

The January presentation went well, and was well received. If you missed it, the step-by-step scripts from that presentation are available, and we will do a quick overview of that material at the beginning of our February meeting for anyone who missed it. Please join us!
By popular demand, we will picking up in February with a follow up presentation by Microsoft MVP Joel Bennett who will be continuing his talk about Writing Better PowerShell Functions with an explanation of how to take advantage of the common functionality provided by PowerShell for functions, including -Verbose and -Debug, as well as -Whatif and -Confirm. Following that we will discuss writing functions for the PowerShell pipeline using Begin, End, and Process blocks, and accepting parameters from pipeline input. Additionally, we'll talk about parameter sets and how you can get parameters in multiple sets.
We'll leave plenty of time for Script Club afterward so we can discuss and help you solve whatever questions and problems you can bring for us!
As always, please RSVP if you're coming to join us for Pizza! We'll be starting with Pizza at 6PM and the presentation will start at 6:30. We will make the presentation available via Live Meeting, but obviously you should come in person for Pizza & Script Club!
